Fad diets by and large provide short term results. They cannot be carried on for a long term without getting deprived of essential proteins and nutrients. By cutting across key foods, fad diets have a tendency to cause the following side effects:

When proper dieting plan to compensate the fad diet plan is also introduced weight is kept under check. It will also help you to maintain a healthy body weight and maintain it over a period of time. These plans of dieting will improve your vigor and vitality and improve your sense of self esteem and self worth. There is no need to cut any food but you eat every thing moderately. Such eating is balanced eating and it is not new. When physical exercises are also combined with the diets then the body fix up in a blossoming fashion.

Eat your breakfast, lunch and dinner properly as soon as you start feeling hungry. Slow food intake will bring about a lot of enjoyment. The most important aspect is to establish good and healthy eating habits that are sustainable for you in the long run. Sweets such as chocolates and cakes should be had once in a while and not regularly as they are very high on calories.

The healthy eating plan for you would be to do the following:

• Eat plenty of fruits, legumes and vegetables
• Eat plenty of breads, pasta, noodles and plenty or cereals
• Eat lean meat, chicken, fish or alternatives.
• You should drink plenty of water
• You should reduce the amounts of food to help your body to lose weight and maintain the same level for a long term.

As a teenager, increase of your body weight will be commensurate with your growth path. A healthy body weight will vary from person to person. Therefore these fad diets do not help very effectively when administered on teenagers. If you have a health problem consult a physician or a doctor for proper check up.
