Fad Diets Why Are They Bad - 5 Reasons to Avoid Them

New diets or fad diets appears almost every week. Many of these fad diets contain elements of fact, but on the whole they contain more good marketing than good science.

The three day fad diets are which touts eating little more than fruits for three days, followed by meat or vegetables or grains the other days, so there are lots of difference in the fad diets.

It is true that eating fruits regularly is a key element for good health, as it contains carbohydrates, fiber and vitamins. If you eat almost exclusively fruits for three days continuously it leads to imbalance in fiber, carbohydrates and additional otherwise healthy components. To a large extent the body will equalize and stores what it needs for later, but they are limited.

The reasons for fad diets; why are they bad?

• The low carbohydrates, high proteins such as Atkins are recommended to cut down on carbohydrates and eating substantial amounts of food high in protein. For proper nutrition, proteins and carbohydrates are very essential. Putting too much emphasis to proteins over the carbohydrates leads to rapid temporary weight loss, but at a high cost.

• For providing energy for all biochemical processes are carbohydrates. The body, when needed, will use as protein and fat for other sources. If you put the emphasis on protein, it reduced the ability of the body to store and regulate the appropriate amount of water, whereas carbohydrates help that.

• The attracting sounding of diet is The Chocolate Diet. To eat chocolate everyone loves and likes, it is healthy in moderation. Chocolate contains anti-oxidants and other compounds which are very helpful. Many will seek chocolate in the form of high fat, high sugar amounts it is possible to get some not-so-helpful elements along with the good.

Lose weight with fad diets quickly

• Any diet promises rapid, quick, or radical weight loss or any other severe claim is almost guaranteed to be more harmful than helpful. The human body has evolved over millions of years and a decade of good nutritional research still confirms the common sense truth: balance is good, moderation is healthy.

• Eat moderately at regular intervals of vegetables and fruits for vitamins, fiber, and carbohydrates. Grains for vitamins, fiber, minerals and carbohydrates. Proteins for amino acids and dairy products for calcium. For average person, between 2000 to 2500 calories per day is appropriate. On an average it is less for women, and for those who seek rapid weight loss.

Do not fall for quick fad diets, as balanced diet is attached with age appropriate, regular exercise, moderate will lead to a healthy percentage of body fat, a well tuned system, and good muscle and feel much better and look good.
